text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003EFor instance, one year I put Christmas lights up on my house. \u0026nbsp;One year. \u0026nbsp;That will never happen again unless I am paying someone to put them up and down. \u0026nbsp;What a pain in the neck to get those up and an even bigger pain to put away. \u0026nbsp;I kind of dreaded the putting away part, so they may or may not have been up from Christmas until Valentines day. \u0026nbsp;I had several neighbors comment on it too which brings me back to the point that some decorations just go out of season way too fast which is why I try to make things that can be used through different seasons.\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003EBack to the topic at hand. \u0026nbsp;This pinecone wreath is the perfect season neutral wreath to make! \u0026nbsp;I love the way it looks and it was really easy and inexpensive to make it. \u0026nbsp;I was inspired by \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.womansday.com\/home\/craft-ideas\/6-New-Takes-on-Wreaths-5#slide-6\"\u003Ethis pinecone wreath.\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003EI started with a grapevine wreath from Hobby Lobby. \u0026nbsp;It was only $5.99 and it is actually quite large which I liked. \u0026nbsp;I wanted to be able to put all sizes of pinecones on it without having to worry about it looking overwhelmed. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003EI bought two bags of the cinnamon scented pinecones that are just plain brown and then I dry brushed white paint onto them to give them a frosted look. \u0026nbsp;To attach them to the wreath, you will need some wire and simply wrap the wire around the pine cone and the wreath in the place that you want it and then twist the wire in the back. \u0026nbsp;Repeat that about 40 more times and the wreath is almost done!\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003EFor the very last step, you will need some brown wired ribbon. \u0026nbsp;I picked mine up from Hobby Lobby for 1\/2 off (their ribbon goes on sale a lot) and it only cost me $2 for a large spool. \u0026nbsp;I simply looped the ribbon around and around and then using the same wire I used for the pinecones I attached it to the wreath. \u0026nbsp;I left the ends a little longer because I thought it looked better that way, but really you can do it however you want to.\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; You are probably rolling your eyes thinking, \"Not another coffee filter wreath!\"\u0026nbsp; It has been done about a million times all over the place BUT, I've never done one and I really wanted to try it out.\u0026nbsp; You can literally make your wreath any color you would like it to be.\u0026nbsp; This was so easy, a little time consuming, but super easy.\u0026nbsp; \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ELet's get started.\u0026nbsp; You being by taking a stack of coffee filters and folding them in half, then in half again.\u0026nbsp; You will then cut a scallop on the edge of the fliters.\u0026nbsp; This will give a more feminine and dainty look than if you were to leave it with the solid edge.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-iKpAnHXMAog\/T5Vy77lrm_I\/AAAAAAAAKc4\/QCoKoAvKzqQ\/s1600\/coffee+filter+wreath+4.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-iKpAnHXMAog\/T5Vy77lrm_I\/AAAAAAAAKc4\/QCoKoAvKzqQ\/s640\/coffee+filter+wreath+4.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAfter you get the filters cut, you are going to dip the scalloped edge into a mixture containing water and acrylic paint.\u0026nbsp; You can literally have your wreath be any color you want!\u0026nbsp; Here's a little guide for you though.\u0026nbsp; When you first start, the more water you have mixed with the paint, the lighter the end color will be.\u0026nbsp; As you are dying the filters, the water will be soaked out of the container leaving more paint and less water.\u0026nbsp; It makes it so that the end color is more saturated.\u0026nbsp; If you want to have a consistent color throughout all of the flowers, just be mindful of how much water is left.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOnce you have dipped the filters in the paint, I seperated the individual filters and laid them out to dry on some paper towels.\u0026nbsp; Before they are completely dry, I molded them into the flowers and twist the ends to help it hold it's shape while it finished drying.\u0026nbsp; (see step 4 in photo above)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWhen the flower is mostly dry, I wrapped some wire around the base and then secured it to the wreath form.\u0026nbsp; I tried securing it with just the wire, but I soon realized that even if I wrapped wire around, the flowers still move.\u0026nbsp; I ended up waiting for it to be even more dry and then used hot glue to secure the flowers in place.\u0026nbsp; It was much more effective.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-Z1_iejBQCn8\/T5Vy5MVGU-I\/AAAAAAAAKcg\/cKSuAQfEtEg\/s1600\/coffee+filter+wreath.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; The easiest way to get the moss to stick was to cover a section of the burlap with some hot glue and pat the moss down on it.\u0026nbsp; \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"border: currentColor; text-align: left;\"\u003EFirst, I took the stems and separated the flower branches.\u0026nbsp; Then I simply pushed the flowers into the twig wreath making sure that the flowers go the same direction as the twigs.\u0026nbsp;
