*I am about to get personal here which is something that I don't do often because it kind of makes me uncomfortable. Here goes nothing!
I looked in the mirror the other day and decided something. I decided that I wasn't happy with the way that I looked and felt about myself. Some days I don't even care about the way that I look. You can tell because I usually have my hair in a ponytail and very minimal make up (if any at all.) I can tell the difference between the days that I take time for myself and the days that I don't. The days that I take the time to throw on a cute outfit, do my hair and wear a fun necklace, those are the days that I feel like I could take on the world. The days that I don't do that, I feel like I am dragging and have no energy.
I came to the realization that if I felt better by taking care of the things on the outside of my body then I would probably feel even more amazing if I were to do the same for the inside. The problem was that I had no idea where to start.

I have made changes in my life that are making a BIG difference! I feel stronger and so accomplished.

ReplyDeleteI love to make Kalua Pork. It's brown rice, with shredded pork on top and then whatever toppings you want - tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, a little cheese. Yum!
ReplyDeleteTastiest dinner is currently pan-cooked salmon with lemon seasoning and a dollop of plain greek yogurt, and a spinach salad.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't great at eating healthy dinners. Once in a while though my little girl and I will share a spinach salad with grilled chicken, tomatoes and cheese. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm......I just try using lots of fruits and veggies. We also always use lean meat and I use ground turkey instead of ground beef.

ReplyDeleteI love to make beans and rotel tomatoes it is a great combination and you can eat it over lettuce as a dressing sub and over rice or in a corn tortilla.
ReplyDeletemy favorite healthy meal is going to have fish or chicken with asparagus or brussel sprouts. lots of veggies and then for dessert, maybe some cottage cheese with honey.
