My shelf was really simple, but fun. I went to the local thrift store and stumbled upon this beauty.
First, I had to fix a couple of cracks in the wood with some wood filler. I also tightened the screws. Then I used Rustoleum's Warm Yellow spray paint to freshen it up and add some fun color to my front porch.
I knew that I wanted to have some sort of flowers on it. There is something about having flowers on your porch that is so inviting I decided. So, I got to work with my little helper. Using some plastic pots that I had saved from years before and forgotten about, I planted some fun bright flowers.
The end result just makes me smile. I feel like my porch is so much more inviting.
I can't wait until I get my whole porch finished. I have been trying to make my mind up about a couple of things and I think I have finally figured it out. As soon as I finish it I will show you. Promise.
Don't forget to link up your shelf projects. You can find the linky right here on my blog. It will be open through the weekend!

What a find! You picked the perfect color, Jonie. Those pots just pop against the pale yellow. Great job!
I love how bright and fun the shelves look, Jonie! What a cheerful addition to your porch, can't wait to see the whole thing. ;)

Love the colour. Great little project and perfect for your cheerful pots.
What a great find and i love what you did with it! Adorable!
BRAVO BRAVO! Great color choice and I have to say, those pots look like they came with those amazing shelves.
What a great find! And I was thinking you were gonna show us how you cut the wood and built it. But this is even BETTER, because I am not at the "building stuff" stage yet :) This is something even I could do. Linking up to your shelf party, and I am now a follower.
