Day #5 {Tradition}

Before my great grandmother {Granny} passed away, she would send us a package for EVERY holiday.  It was something that I looked forward to and loved.  It showed us that she was thinking of us and it gave us something to make every holiday special.

Inevitably in just about every package we would find some window clings.  If you aren't sure what these are, basically they are stickers that you can put on your window or mirror that can be taken off and put back on as many times as you would like.  I gave some to my daughter for Thanksgiving and they were a big hit for her on our back door, so I know she is just going to love them when she sees them.

Another way I have used these in the past is to leave my husband a little love on the mirror in our bathroom.  It is a simple and inexpensive way to show that you are thinking about your spouse.  I know it makes him smile, and that is all that matters.

I got these at Target from the dollar bins in case you are wondering.

I have to tell you that this really has been fun for me to do for my family.  It is so fun to see my 2 year old run down to her mailbox every morning to find her "presents".  Her excitement is always followed with a "Thank you mom!  It's my favorite!"  That alone makes the time I spend on this project worth it.
Pin It!
