Now onto a fun project!
I pin a lot of kids crafts, but I rarely do any of them. I don't know why. My daughter would love to do all of them. Anyway, I thought that I would do a project that was geared for her today, and this is what we decided to do. (Here is the pin that I originally got this idea from.)
There is nothing really to this project. All you need is yarn, tape, and some straws.
Simply cut the straws into pieces. (I cut them about an inch and a half.) Then I cut a piece of yarn and wrapped tape around one end to make it easier to thread the "beads" onto the yarn.
My daughter took over from there and had a blast adding more and more straws to the yarn.
She ended up wearing the necklace all day and showed it to anyone that would talk to her when we were out doing errands. I call that a successful project!

Hi Jonie Marie, this is so cute. I'm just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

I have done something like this before, but I taped the end of the yarn so that it was easier to put through the straw.
